Ahmed Nadeem Qasimi was one of the first few modern Urdu writers whose talent spilled over into his poetry as well. His use of abstract subjects, along with his command over the language, was an art known only to the modern breed of writers. This volume contains one of the most representative selections of Qasimi, providing the reader with an opportunity to arrive at the quintessential in Qasimi’s voluminous poetical output. In these poems, we find the languorous rhythm of Qasimi’s early poems as well as his portrayal of the human epigrammatic predicament in the modern day environment.
