Manager Digital Publishing - Karachi based

About the role
Based in the Digital Publishing department of OUP Pakistan (OUPP), the role primarily involves strategic planning and portfolio management of digital learning solutions such as educational programmes, blended learning content, and eBooks, etc. to complement both OUPP's print publishing and other independent learning models.

As team lead, the role will be responsible to conceptualize and produce new products and solutions which can help K-12 and higher education school administrators, teachers, students, and parents to enhance their teaching and learning processes. It will require partnering with publishing teams at OUPP and external EdTech providers with the overall aim to generate new revenue streams for OUPP. The manager will direct their team to conduct and analyze market research/feedback to make informed data-driven decision and suggest innovative business models to create digital user-base and manage digital subscriptions.

About you
The ideal candidate should have the following:

  • A strong school education and university degree (equivalent to Masters) preferably in field of Computer Science, Education Technology, Business Studies or Entrepreneurship.
  • Prior 5-6 years' experience of EdTech or start-up industry in a leadership role with proven track record of producing or managing digital solution, preferably for education.
  • Impeccable spoken and written English language skills.

Digital Product Architect - Karachi based

About the role
Based in the Digital Publishing department of OUP Pakistan (OUPP), the role primarily involves overall management for all products and projects pertaining to digital educational solutions (Online platforms, eBooks, Mobile apps) including creating product strategy, business cases, product specification, project management reports and product performance metrics.

Additionally, the role will also include conducting and analysing market research/feedback to make informed data-driven decisions and suggest innovative business models to create digital user-base and manage digital subscriptions. The Product Architect will be dealing with vendor and platform management including testing of digital platforms and/or applications to help ensure high quality and timely delivery.

About you
The ideal candidate should have the following:

  • A Master’s degree, preferably in field of Computer Science preferably or Education Technology, Business Studies or Entrepreneurship.
  • Prior 3-4 years' experience as a product manager or product architect for digital platform/app development. Knowledge and experience of agile project management is preferred.
  • Impeccable spoken and written English language skills.
  • Strong business acumen, collaboration, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS, managing LMS/VLEs/CMS, graphic manipulation, and editing video and audio will be a plus.

Manager Treasury & Cash Management - Karachi based

About the role
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the role will lead the Treasury and Cash Management function of OUP Pakistan (OUPP) with objective to monitor, plan, and manage the efficient utilization of cash and financial services in a manner consistent with the objectives of OUPP.

The Manager Treasury and Cash Management will be primarily responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of treasury operations; review and drive improvements in cash management; ensure effective and profitable funds placements/investments; manage employee funds in an efficient and profitable manner; managing external banking relationships and mutual funds. This will also include engaging with imports for timely and efficient settlements, providing leadership to ensure designated cash processing, reconciliation, and that reporting functions are completed in a timely manner while in compliance with policy and regulations.

About you
The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • MBA / ACCA / CFA with minimum 5 years of post-qualification and relevant experience.
  • Strong business acumen with matching interpersonal, decision making, problem-solving, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Strong business acumen with 5+ years of experience in treasury management know-how within a corporate environment.
  • Previous experience both within the Banking sector as well as corporate background is desirable.
  • Solid know-how in local banking regulations and requirements.

Forecast Analyst - Lahore based

About the role
OUP Pakistan is seeking a potential Forecast Analyst to join its growing sales team. The role will primarily involve using historical sales data and growth inputs to analyze and map sales trends to determine their influences on business.

The Forecast Analyst will be required to develop and maintain demand forecast accuracy of stock, highlight variations between forecast and actual sales for timely action to manage stock shortages/gaps, and manage gratis of the sales region. S/he will be required closely partner with Operations, Marketing, and Sales teams to coordinate the stock’s timely issuance and availability at required locations.

About you
The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong school education and university degree (equivalent to Master’s) from a reputed university; background in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analysis (or related field) will be preferred.
  • At least 2-3 years of hands-on demand forecasting experience, including inventory planning, allocation, and replenishment process within MNC environment.
  • Capable of independently preparing reports that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
