Junior/Assistant Manager Sales – Lahore based

About the role
OUP Pakistan is seeking an experienced Sales representative to join our expanding sales team. Overall, the role will primarily be responsible to drive adoption of the Press’s curriculum textbooks at schools, college, and higher education institutes.

The Junior/Assistant Manager Sales will be required to work in the field by visiting prospective, current, and past clients with the aim to build and sustain relationships and develop a base of contacts that will ultimately drive sales in the designated territory. S/he will be responsible for all aspects of sales, pipeline building, qualifying target opportunities, managing the sales cycle, closing orders, and following through to revenue. Within the scope of this role, the successful candidate will ensure to maintain the Press’s policies, standards, and practices, and adherence to the Press’s mission and values.

About you
The successful candidate should have:

      • A strong school education and relevant Master’s degree with 2 to 3 years of relevant sales experience.
      • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills.
      • Outstanding time management skills with the ability to set priorities, work independently and within a team.
      • Excellent computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office.
      • Impeccable English language skills.

Senior Manager Marketing Communications – Karachi based

About the role
An opportunity has arisen for a creative, strategic, and seasoned professional to join OUP Pakistan’s (OUPP) marketing team as Senior Manager Marketing Communications – driving development and implementation of comprehensive communication plans to meet business objectives.

Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Senior Manager Marketing Communications will oversee the development and delivery of internal and external communications, materials, programs and PR strategies for OUPP. S/he will manage these communications supporting the strategies set by Senior Management, including generating, maintaining and developing content and communications to promote OUPP products and solutions to stakeholders across traditional and digital channels.

Overall, the role will be responsible for acting as OUPP’s central point for communication and public relations, and identifying and shaping the communication objectives for the business, ensuring each activity delivers the required response and ROI.

About you
The ideal candidate should have:

      • A strong school education with a Master’s degree in Marketing from a recognized university.
      • At least 7 to 10 years of experience in business communications, integrated communications, content marketing, PR or content creation with a proven ability to plan and execute timely communications.
      • Demonstrated skills and knowledge in leveraging both digital and traditional channels to create impactful communications that drive public awareness and engagement.
      • The capacity to independently manage a varied and demanding workload in a fast-paced environment.

Senior Manager Commercial & Legal Support – Karachi based

About the role
OUP Pakistan has an exciting opportunity available for a motivated professional to join our Finance team as Senior Manager Commercial & Legal Support to work alongside peers and functions to help foster stronger cross-functional collaboration and yield better business plans, decision-making, and results.

Reporting to Finance Director, the successful individual will be required to act as Business Partner to support functions to improve and sustain measurable performance and deliver on target projects. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

      • Overseeing credit management and payable function.
      • Supporting in analysing the business performance, including profitability, revenue, pricing, and cost of goods sold.
      • Partnering with business and support functions for all commercial aspects including review of the customer and supplier agreements.
      • Liaising with Group Legal function for legal support in commercial and contracts management.
      • Driving efficiencies to ensure contracts remain financially viable and delivered on budget.
      • Liaising with external authorities e.g. Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan for Corporate Secretarial matters.
      • Supervising and leading the Indirect Procurement function.

About you
The ideal candidate will possess the following:

      • At least ACA with three years post-qualification experience; or ACMA and ACCA with five years of post-qualification experience.
      • Previous experience within commercial or business partnering role is a must.
      • Working experience with external authorities e.g. SECP is desirable.
      • Experience of data analysis, interpretation, reconciliation, and presentation.
      • Experience of leading cross-functional teams and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
      • Impeccable communication and English language skills.
      • Proficiency in SAP and MS Office applications.
