Window to World History Book 8 for APSACS

The second edition of Window to World History for classes 6-8 is based on the National Curriculum of Pakistan (2022). The series presents the history of ancient civilisations, Middle Ages, Islamic empires, the subcontinent, and the creation of Pakistan. It enables students to learn through inquiry and builds their critical and analytical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, and digital literacy skills.

All three Textbooks have been developed and designed as per the following timeline.

Grade 6: (9000 BCE- 600 CE)

Grade 7: (600 CE- 1800 CE)

Grade 8: (1803 CE- To date)

Each book contains:

• suitable content arranged chronologically for each level
• detailed maps
• colourful photographs
• detailed illustrations
• unique Information Prompts
• end-of-chapter exercises based on Bloom’s Taxonomy promoting inquiry, critical thinking, collaborative group activities, project work
