Mirza Azeem Baig Chughtai was a famous humourist of Urdu, known for his satirical and humorous writings. He was the chief justice in Jaora, a pre-Independence princely state in India. Although he suffered from several health problems, including tuberculosis, his writings remained full of playfulness, practical jokes, and situation comedy.
Compiler:Dr Muhammad Tahir Qureshi is a scholar, researcher and professor of Urdu literature at DJ Sindh Government Science College. He is the author of three books Fehrist e Kutub Khana; Quran Aur Zafar Ali Khan and Humari Milli Shairi Main Naatiya Anasir. His selection Mazameen e Shaukat Thanvi is published by Oxford University Press Pakistan in 2016. He has also contributed research articles to various journals.
