Young Artists Studio

In this five-day course students will learn three major Pop art painting techniques, stencil making, bubble/block writing and large-scale group paintings.

Students will also learn how to use different mediums like acrylic paint, pastels, and markers to translate their ideas onto canvas, paper, and fabric.

Students will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course and will be taking home 2 complete paintings and a self painted tote bag.

Our 5-day fun intensive workshop will cover the following:

Day 1
Introduction to colour wheel – basic of art: Introduction to Pop art and its relationship with colour wheel and stencils. Students will paint their own colour wheel and learn to paint from stencils with different techniques.

Day 2
Keith Harding: Students will explore the element of movement in the pop art of Keith Harding and create life-size artworks in the artist's style.

Day 3
Introduce Andy Warhol art style: Students will be Introduced to Andy Warhol and his art style and will work with oil pastel to create a collage of meaningful artwork.

Day 4
Introduce Roy Lichtenstein art style: Students will learn to do bubble/block writing and will paint on canvas creating work that adapts to "Roy Lichtenstein" art style.

Day 5
Painting tote bags: Students will use their previous skills and techniques learnt in the workshop and paint their own tote bags.

Muzna Roghay

Muzna Roghay obtained her BFA from Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture. She has worked with various social organization in making educational content for children. Her work was showcased on Broadcast media and YouTube as part of “tele schooling for young kids” a project initiated by the GoP in response to COVID-19.
She has conducted art workshops at Habib University and has started her own Art Retreat around Pakistan with the aim of getting people together in a serene environment to unwind and meditate through the medium of art. Muzna is based in Karachi and currently works as a visual artist for Oxford University Press.
