Author Description

Hasan-Uddin Khan is an internationally acclaimed architect, educator, and author. A graduate of the Architectural Association, London, he has practiced in London and Karachi, led global architectural initiatives for His Highness the Aga Khan, and taught at institutions including MIT and UC Berkeley. He is Distinguished Professor Emeritus at Roger Williams University and has authored or edited nine influential books on architecture, Islamic heritage, and urbanism.

Maria Aslam is a curator, editor, and cultural entrepreneur, and the founder of ADA (Architecture Design Art), Pakistan’s leading platform for architecture, design, and art. Through publications, exhibitions, awards, and public forums, she has played a pivotal role in documenting and promoting Pakistan’s creative landscape, fostering dialogue on heritage, sustainability, and cultural innovation both nationally and internationally.
