Marketing Director – Karachi

About the role
The incumbent will be responsible for the leadership, strategy development, and management of Marketing for OUP to deliver strong commercial outcomes. As a member of the Senior Management Team, s/he will contribute to the long-term success of OUPP.

This is a demanding role, where you will work across functions and geographies, to contribute to the long-term success of OUP Pakistan.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the execution of demand and lead generation campaigns through various activities and touch-points, digital marketing, and social media.
  • Driving strong sales and marketing alignment through management of CRM and marketing technology and data, and processes that support effective customer segmentation, lead management, and customer lifecycle development.
  • Identifying and developing brand partnerships to build business, expand reach, and extend into new markets.
  • Monitoring and optimisation of marketing contribution to sales pipeline, direct revenue and marketing program ROI.

About you
To be successful in this role you should have:

  • Pertinent degree or equivalent experience in a professionally managed organization and handling a team in a senior managerial capacity
  • Significant experience in progressively responsible leadership roles in professional organizations including leading transformation and change to deliver better outcomes.
  • Strong digital and data literacy including experience developing and managing CRM and marketing automation technologies and processes (Salesforce Sales Cloud/Marketing Cloud an advantage).

Deputy Manager Sales HE - Karachi

About the role
The incumbent will be responsible for visiting schools, higher education institutes, and other relevant organizations within the assigned region. S/he will be responsible for strengthening relationships with key distributors to maintain and develop new business opportunities. Additionally, they will also develop sales strategies to promote OUP educational resources in the South Zone and provide timely market requirements for relevant textbooks (both local and imported) to ensure an accurate reflection in sales forecasts.

This role requires a candidate with strong analytical skills, capable of making forecasts based on school statistics and compiling data. They will be expected to visit O and A-level schools, work closely with teams across Pakistan, and support Higher Education sales within the South Zone.

About you

  • A strong school education and relevant master’s degree with 4-5 years of relevant sales experience.

Assistant Key Accounts Manager - Lahore

About the role
The incumbent will be responsible for securing adoptions from chain schools to generate revenue by maximizing sales opportunities within key accounts and achieving assigned annual regional and national sales targets. Additionally, the incumbent will be required to establish and maintain long-term business relationships with key accounts by understanding their requirements and collaborating closely with various business departments to strengthen those relationships.

The incumbent will need to liaise with relevant internal stakeholders to organize teachers' training workshops in schools, gather feedback on current and forthcoming titles, and facilitate the augmentation of sales volume within a specified time. About the role
This position is responsible to manage the timely production of high quality Social Science (Social Studies, History, Geography, Computer Science, Atlases, Ethics, Pakistan Studies) titles in accordance with set budgets, handle projects from the commissioning stage to sending off printed books to authors, quality check of manuscripts, coordination with authors and designers, all in cooperation with and in support of the line manager.

The incumbent will be expected to:

  • Gather key insights from ongoing market trends, collate data by liaising with teachers and schools, and provide solutions to clients based on content and pedagogical understanding.
  • Edit/proofread and help to level manuscript and digital content in terms of plagiarism check, content accuracy, consistence of content, style, grammar, and quality
  • Liaise with authors and others to determine progress and encourage timely submission of high-quality work

About you

Content Specialist - Mathematics - Karachi

About the role
This position is responsible for independently handling projects from the commissioning stage to management of timely production of high-quality Mathematics titles in accordance with the set budgets as well as sending off the printed books to authors.

The incumbent will be tasked with conducting market research, developing content for exercises, creating teacher resource materials, and aligning content with curricula. S/he will liaise with authors and designers to ensure adherence to publication timelines, coordinate quality checks of manuscripts, and proactively monitor specific schedules. Additionally, s/he will be responsible for calculating accurate costings for each book at relevant stages prior to publication to ascertain profitability.

About you

  • A strong school education and relevant Master’s degree.
  • Impeccable English language with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Prior experience in proofreading, editing, project planning and management.
  • At least 5 to 7 years’ experience in teaching the mentioned subject will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office with high levels of literacy and numeracy.
