Oxford University Press workshop on resources for English skills

As a part of its on-going teacher training programme, Oxford University Press is organizing a workshop for teachers on Nelson English Skills: Focused Teaching of all the Core Skills, on Saturday, 14 February 2015, at the Oxford University Press Head Office in Karachi.

Nelson English Skills provide targeted resources for the key skills of grammar, spelling, handwriting, comprehension and phonics, designed to help all children become confident readers and communicators. Developed for classes pre-primary, 1 to 8, the resources comprise the series Nelson Spelling, Nelson Grammar, Nelson Handwriting, Nelson Comprehension, and Nelson English. Simple, structured and easy-to-use materials can be slotted in alongside the existing literacy teaching. Careful progression, along with plenty of differentiated practice resources, helps ensure success for all children. Support for assessment ensures children are on track to meet the new, harder requirements of the curriculum.

The workshop will be conducted by Arwa Khuzaima who has over 26 years of experience in teaching ECE classes both here and abroad. She is currently heading the Pre-School Department at her school Arwa is on the Oxford University Press panel of trainers. She is an associate trainer with many leading training institutes and has trained over 3000 teachers both nationally and internationally.
