Oxford University Press organized a talk based on its publication   Intikhab-e-Kalam: Parveen Shakir compiled by Fatema Hassan, on 21 May 2014 at the Oxford Bookshop, Khalid bin Waleed Road, Karachi.The book is a representative selection of the poetry of Parveen Shakir, one of the most outstanding modern Urdu poets. In her talk, Fatema Hassan discussed Parveen's literary journey beginning with how she came into the limelight after the publication of her first collection Khushboo. Dr Fatema Hassan is the Honorary Secretary of Anjuman Tarraqui e Urdu and has published seven poetry collections.
