Oxford University Press workshop on Effective Lesson Planning

As a part of its on-going teacher training programme, Oxford University Press is organizing a workshop for teachers on ‘Effective Lesson Planning’ on Thursday, 20 November 2014, at the Oxford University Press Head Office in Karachi.

The workshop will highlight how lesson planning is one of the most important aspects of teaching and learning as it enables teachers to prepare themselves effectively before going into their classes. It will focus on how teachers need to develop a plan to provide direction towards the attainment of the selected objectives. Teachers will be trained in how to sequence the teaching items according to the methodology and approach they have opted for.

The workshop will be conducted by Saima Ahmed who is a qualified teacher educator. She has vast experience in the areas of teacher development and school improvement and has been working in the field of education for the last 15 years. She has been developing and conducting teacher education programmes for national and international organizations. Presently, she is serving as a lecturer at National University of Modern Languages (NUML). Close
