As a part of the activities organized at the Oxford Bookshops for its Azadi Week Special, Oxford University Press hosted a talk by the historian Hamida Khuhro on its publication Karachi: Megacity of Our Times, on 17 August at the Oxford Bookshop, Khalid bin Waleed Road, Karachi. Edited by Hamida Khuhro and Anwer Mooraj, the book is a collection of articles by prominent writers of Karachi who trace the transformation of a sleepy town into a vibrant metropolis.
