Oxford University Press teachers training summer camp in KPK







As a part of its on-going teacher training programme, Oxford University Press organized a Teachers Training Summer Camp from 17 to 29 June 2013 in Swabi, Mardan, and Peshawar. The objective of the training camp was to equip teachers with modern teaching methodologies and to familiarize them with different behavioural problems of students and the issues faced by them while learning. The topics covered during the training sessions included Collaborative Learning and Multiple Intelligence, Constructive Learning and Graphic Organizers and Games for Interactive Teaching.

During the training camp, 1625 teachers of private schools of KPK were imparted training and given the opportunity to share their teaching skills and experience. The training camp was greatly appreciated by the participating teachers as well as the management of their schools.

The training sessions were conducted by Bushra Shahab who has been working as Academic Coordinator at Oxford University Press Pakistan since 2005. She has also worked in different capacities at prestigious educational institutions of Peshawar and Risalpur. She has conducted more than 900 workshops and trained around 15,000 teachers on different topics like Child Psychology, Effective Teaching, Phonetics, Integrated Approach in Teaching, Remedial Reading etc.
