Intikhab-e-Kalam: Ranjoor Azeemabadi
This is the first ever selection of the poetry of Ranjoor Azeemabadi. One of the few poets highly concerned with the cultural problems brought about by the colonial rule, Ranjoor adopted a satirical manner to protest against Western inroads into Indo-Muslim culture. His poetry, partly didactic and partly satirical, achieved significant popularity. However, for years now, no volume of his poetry has been available; hence this selection will meet the need of introducing Ranjoor to a new generation of poetry enthusiasts and students.
