Divan-e-Mir (Farsi)

Mir Taqi Mir was the leading Urdu poet of the eighteenth century, and one of the pioneers whose work shaped the modern Urdu language. He was mainly known for his ghazals but his even more important contribution is creating a poetic language from the indigenous expression that was to guide successive generations of poets after him. This book is the first Urdu translation of Mir’s Persian diwan which has never been published in book form before. The translation work has been done with the help of two manuscripts held in private collections.
